NFL Franchise Rankings #16-13 (by Mive Content)

We now enter the franchise upper echelon. Here we’re gonna find either brands that are finance proof or teams that really have a strong grasp of how to build economically. Big markets are gonna play strong in this arena as well as recent success.  Take into consideration also that star power is a major driving force for some of these teams. We’re also gonna enter the NFL high rent district:  Teams that are worth more than a billion dollars (that’s right the B word). Let get it in and see how this shakes out GoJu Nation.

Ok, here we are GoJu Nation.  The next phase in the growth of GothamJungle.  We’re going audio.  You now get to put a voice with the words you’re enjoying here on “The Industry”.  And now the bar gets raised. Instead of just getting so-called “opinions” with no knowledge of who is ranting, you’re getting emotion, background info that you don’t get anywhere else and you also get to peek into the backgrounds of the blogger so you know they’re experienced and knowledgeable in their content areas. This is a nice step here GoJu Nation. Get comfortable and embrace.  You WILL walk away better educated. Promise. So here discussing the current state of the music industry, here are Mive Content (former music industry executive), Charles E. Austin (Entertainment Attorney) & Q’ban (Partner, Grand Reve Music/WaterMusic/EMI). It’s a GothamJungle thing baby… !!!

This Week on Da Charts - Da Albums (by Mive Content)

Seven new albums breaking through on the top 20 this week GoJu Nation. Starting with the #1 album “Asylum” from Disturbed. I get excited when a rock album tops the charts.  It signifies a couple of things:  1) The buying consumer is active. & 2) The creative bar is being pushed.  Rock has a way of getting in the veins of the kids and that pushes/influences creativity. Just observing the obvious GoJu Nation.

NFL Franchise Rankings #20-17 (by Mive Content)

This post will close the bottom half of the franchise rankings GoJu Nation.  And as you can see finance & market share is starting to creep into the rankings. We’re finding that where your team is located & the economics of their area all play into the teams bottom line. Winning helps also. Fan base(s) don’t mind paying more with their team wins. A city’s whole perception changes with a successful franchise.  Lets see how the rest of the list pans out.

We at Gotham Jungle would like to thank you for sticking with us as we grow and continue to try to find interesting new ways to bring you qualitative (media, entertainment, and tech) “industry” information and opinions.

As much as we hope that you’ve enjoyed the blogs thus far, we think its time that you got some behind the scenes insight into what we care about, how we think and the discussions that help to shape our views on the “industry”. We recognize that a blog is but one individual’s point of view.

This Week on Da Charts - Da Movies (by Mive Content)

Gotta love this time of year.. Labor day is when the movie industry starts releasing movies they want Academy Award considerations for as well as putting out their budget films hoping to catch lightning in a bottle.  No huge budgets here until we get closer to the holiday season. In the battle of the budget action film this weekend, The American (with the star power of George Clooney) beat out the reputation of Robert Rodriquez and his Machete film.  Both flicks are capped with a $20M budget so, they should and will both recoup their respective film companies $$$.

This Week on Da Charts - Da Albums (by Mive Content)

As the month changes to September so do Da Album charts. The biggest surprise of the week is that Usher didn’t chart higher than 4th. I expected WAY more than only 45K for this EP.  2 reasons: 1) His single with Pitbull is a 2010 pop formula smash around the country (hell if Jason DeRulo, Jay Sean, Taio Cruz etc. can do it why not Mr. Raymond). 2) Hot Tottie with Jay Z is an urban club/mixtape smash that you can’t escape (How many times have you heard “Call Me King Hov Copy” in the last month?). But I did some research and found out why.  Sony/Jive (and their greedy asses) put out a deluxe version of Raymond v Raymond where there a bonus disk which is the Versus EP. So as his label is looking to capitalize on 2 albums, they basically split the consumer base and in turn they confused them as to which album is the focus.   (F@*king labels and their B.S.) I really wanted a bigger # from Mr. Raymond.

NFL Franchise Rankings #24-21 (by Mive Content)

Now we’re getting into some story-lines with these franchises. There are circumstances that are literally affecting the teams overall worth. On the field with the actual teams performance to off the field with stadium and city concerns.  This is the area where you have to consider more than is your team winning. If some of the things discussed in this section aren’t addressed, you may not have a team to root for.  So here we are again GoJu Nation,  the next set of franchise rankings.  Peruse, share and comment.  We’d love to hear from you.   Enjoy.

This Week on Da Charts - Da Movies (by Mive Content)

Very interesting GoJu Nation.   I kind of smelled “The Last Exorcism” sneaking in and taking the #1 spot this week.  But I didn’t expect “Takers” to come in a very close 2nd and to recoup its movie budget in 1 weekend.  That instantly means sequel GoJu Nation.  And after the brick earlier this spring with “The Losers”, Zoe Saldana and Idris Alba are back on the magic carpet ride career wise.

NFL Franchise Rankings #28-25 (by Mive Content)

So we’ve given you the bottom of the franchise totem pole with the Minnesota Vikings surprisingly being #30 with the winning teams they’ve had.  Maybe you must have some Super Bowl trophies in your lobby.  Then the Oakland Raiders would be the glitch in that matrix theory.   They’ve won 3 Lombardi trophies and they are just about the laughing-stock of the league. Well let’s see how the rest of the league pans out.  We carry on.
