So here are the top $ GoJu nation. Thank you for your patience as we worked through the list to make sure you get the quality info you deserve.  Hit us with you comments and enjoy….

#4 The New York Giants – Legacy franchise with one of the lowest operating incomes in the league due to them residing in the #1 media market. Three Superbowls add to the popularity. A new joint stadium that will host the Superbowl for the 1st time in the New York area. Selling tickets aren’t a problem for the Giants either (As of August only 1200 seat left, which should be gobbled up by now). Now on the field.  They are fine with Eli Manning at the helm. They also have the name players on both sides of the ball to keep those jerseys selling. What needs to happen now is more winning.  The Giants have been in the hunt it seems every year.  There are also times when they’re dominate. But they also have been putrid also.  Consistency is the only missing link. But it doesn’t matter who is the coach or quarterback. This is a legacy franchise that seems firmly planted in their position.

  • Operating Income – 2.1M
  • Revenue – 241M
  • Current Value – 1.182B

#3 The New England Patriots – Here is the flavor of the month spot on the top 4.  This would have been the San Francisco 49er’s has this been the late 80′s early 90′s.  When your the current team of the decade, it has its privileges. Now, being in the Boston area is major plus.  They’ve won 3 Superbowls in the past decade and that will help your team in amazing financial ways.  Bob Kraft (yes that Kraft) has spent wisely when it comes to the Patriots to keep them current with the rest of the league (they have one of the top operating incomes in the NFL).  They have Hall of Famer Tom Brady and Bill Belichick (on the field and the sidelines ) which solidifies a quality product in between the lines. And this literally makes the Patriots one of the major contenders for the Superbowl every year. I’m curious to see what happens after this regime is over but it seems we have some years before that’s even a reality.

  • Operating Income – 66.5M
  • Revenue – 318M
  • Current Value – 1.367B

#2 The Washington Redskins – Now this one is baffling. This franchise hasn’t won since the 80′s. Only 3 playoff appearances since ’99. So why are the Redskins #2?  They are the D.C. areas heartbeat. Nothing is bigger than Redskins football (No other sport is even remotely close). They are also a legacy franchise that’s been around for 50 years plus. They have franchise faces that are also faces of the NFL (Gibbs, Riggins, George Allen). Merchandising is always in the top 5. And football season always intersects with politics with both of their important periods happening in November. And the best news, its not gonna end anytime soon. Cause the fans literally will wait until the Snyder family puts a winning product on the field. And the Snyder family makes $$ whether the team wins or loses. Lets see if the Donovan McNabb/Mike Shanahan regime can a winning smile on the fans face.

  • Operating Income – 103.7M
  • Revenue – 353M
  • Current Value – 1.550B

#1 The Dallas Cowboys – The Rolls Royce brand in the NFL. The perfect storm with a major market (Dallas/Ft. Worth), a winning tradition (5 Superbowls), legacy with the brand (Star) and NFL players (Landry, Staubach, Aikmen, and too many more to name) who will forever be the face of the league. They just built the biggest football arena in history. Naming rights are being fought over the stadium with Dallas hosting the Superbowl this year. And their owner (Jerry Jones) is as much of a celebrity/drawing card as any of his players. Now on the field.  This is the Yankees of the NFL with a ownership that will (within the salary cap) get whatever the team needs to win.  So good players on the field isn’t the issue.  But parody is so, you can’t buy a championship here you have to do it on the field and play better than the rest. The Cowboys have had a problem grasping this concept and the fans are restless.  This may be their year but again that has been said every year for a loonng time.

  • Operating Income – 143.3M
  • Revenue – 420M
  • Current Value – 1.805B
