What’s up peeps! What IZ good in your hood! In my hood things are starting to get a little better and the 100-degree heat wave seems to have finally passed us by…I HOPE. That is a good thing for the NFL players who just so happened to have started training camps this week. I have always said that out of all of the professional athletes, I think the NFL players are the most deserving of the LOOT that they get from the NFL teams. What other athletes are out in the blazing heat of the summer AND the freezing sleet and snow of the winter? With this blog I’m going to get into some of the DRAMA that has hit the training camps so far. We have a lot to choose from but I’m going to focus on the CONTENDERS and hope they don’t become PRETENDERS! Ok peeps, lets get to the good stuff!
We are going to start with the team that most FRONT RUNNERS love the most – that IZ the Dallas CowGIRLS. It is no secret that I HATE Dallas and everything they 
stand for. But I can’t front, I wish Jerry Jones was my football team’s owner because he really wants to win 1st and make money 2nd unlike many owners who have those 2 things reversed. OK, the Dallas 1st round pick WR Dez Bryant decides that he is BETTER than any player that has come before him. It is a tradition that the Rookies MUST do stuff for the veterans if what they are asked to do is simple and doesn’t cause any harm. It is the football version of “the rights of passage”. But Dez Bryant decides he didn’t want to have any part of this and DISSED his teammate Roy Williams when Roy asked him to carry his shoulder pads. Now come on Dez! When you play football you want your teammates to have your back because football is the ULTIMATE team sport. You are not off to a great start TOUGH GUY! I know one thing – if my Frat Brothers from Cowboys past would have been on this team, I think Mr. Bryant would really know the meaning of getting HAZED! If you don’t believe that just ask Mr. Emmitt Smith and Mr. Eric Williams what they think about Dez’s actions.
Ok, now we travel to Cincy. In BENGAL land I know the city must be going crazy with the recent signing of Terrell Owens. On paper, this is the team to beat in the AFC. You have a massive offensive line with a power running back in Cedric Benson. You have a big former All Pro QB in Carson Palmer and you have Chad Johnson and Owens as WRS. If someone can show me a better offensive team on paper please do! However, with T.O. you have the ULTIMATE DRAMA QUEEN. I could see this thing exploding if the two divas, Ocho Cinco and Owens, start “fighting” over who is getting the most attention. Coach Marvin Lewis has proved in the past that he has no control over his team and Carson Palmer has not been the same since he blew out his knee. So I’m not totally on board with the Bengals but I will “have my popcorn ready”.
In Philly, my beloved Eagles have a new starting QB in Kevin Kolb with the backup QB in Michael Vick. I’m not going to sit here and kill 
Donovan McNabb like most media and fans are trying to do because he didn’t win the BIG ONE. McNabb did great things with an average offense, but Donnie Mac simply has the same disease that Lebron has, that IZ “the no killer instinct” disease. I can’t get mad at him for that because it is not in his chemical makeup and we can’t make a person EAT, DRINK, and SLEEP their sport. I think the Eagles offense will be greatly improved if the offensive line is any good, because Kolb is a better PASSER than McNabb. However, if the line is average or below, the Eagles will have a LONG year because Kolb won’t be able to make plays on his own like McNabb had to do damn near all of his career. I expect Vick to come in and make some plays with his feet. If the Eagles defense is back to the early 2k days, I personally see EAGLES SUPERBOWL! But then I wake up and see the reality - and the reality IZ…..the Eagles defense STINKS!
In Minnesota they are waiting to hear from Brett Favre. As of today, we still don’t know if Brett is coming back. But I’m a betting man. A GREAT QB like Favre is not going to let his career end with an interception in the NFC Championship game. All of America knows that the Vikings dominated that game. Turnovers, and a blatant dirty hit on Farve that should have been a penalty and was not called, cost the Vikes a trip to the SUPER BOWL. The Vikes will be good without Brett but you best believe they IZ great with him.
There are many, many more stories I could hit up, but I will save them for next time, peeps. I still didn’t talk about Pittsburgh and that female abusing QB Big Ben. I didn’t even talk about the Super Bowl Champion Saints. But training camp is just starting so keep your eye out.
