Ok Here we are GoJu Nation. The second incarnation of the Sony PSP has arrived in the US. Debuting in Japan, the Sony Playstation Vita is hoping to crack through the Nintendo 3DS market and take back a significant share. Courtesy of CNET here is a video breakdown of what Sony hopes will become the new standard handheld gaming device.
I know GoJu Nation…. We haven’t been on our gaming “A” game in a while. Mainly because we’ve had some major technical difficulties that we’ve just started to work out. But that’s not your concern GoJu nation so here what we got. I’m always looking out for hot video games for gaming systems. Especially if they’re group orientated. I’m all in on the Monster Hunter franchise. I’ve finished all of the Marvel Alliance games and loved every second of it. So excitement is my middle name today upon the release of X-Men Destiny. You have the choice of joining either the Brotherhood of Evil Mutants or the X-Men based on your individual journey as you discover your own mutant powers. Yes your are the mutant in this game and you develop your own X-gene and decide what your ultimate path will be. But I’m not the one to describe this properly. I’ll let IGN do what they do best. So courtesy of IGN here is the preview of X-Men Destiny..
~Mive Content – This tech game on every level is turning into an acquisition playing field. Companies build their product base, then build their consumer base and then sell off to the highest bidder. The only question seems to be which big dog will eat the little dog. Now this screams in the face of the current economic climate that jobs aren’t being created. We have companies that are making money again (in droves) they have acquisition money to burn (the bailouts have all been paid back FYI.com) but, they’re doing the status quo with less and building their profit margins in the process. Now this point is actually another blog but just letting Da Nation know what’s happening. So here’s the breakdown of EA purchasing PopCap Games.
In one of the most anticipated video games in years. Rocksteady Games debuted the next trailer for Batman Arkham City. And it features Catwoman in all of her glory. So now you can choose whether to be the caped crusader or the Selena Kyle. So if you’re a die-hard DC Comics fan or comic book movie fan or a gaming connoisseur then this is a must have. Available for the PC, X-Box 360 & the Playstation 3 on 10-18-11. And will be available for the Nintendo Wii U when it debuts.
I guess it was bound to happen. I video game commercial being banned from TV for being a bit too raunchy. The recently leaked ad, created for 2K Sports computer game, Top Spin 4, features Serena Williams as the ‘worlds sexiest tennis player’ taking on ‘the worlds sexiest tennis gamer’ with both ladies scantily dressed and grunting away as they hit shot after shot. Not what the marketing of video games is known for I guess.
At a special event in Tokyo, company bosses revealed what they are officially calling the NGP or Next Generation Portable. There were no details on how much it is likely to cost but it is expected to be out sometime towards the end of 2011. The NGP is being launched into an increasingly competitive market with Nintendo’s 3DS out soon and a boom in mobile gaming on smartphones.
Ok. I love this. Sony has its head on a swivel. Recognizing that the PSP Go is a complete bust and watching Apple taking a major part of their gaming market share, Sony is jumping ship onto Apple’s competitor Android. The result is PlayStation Suite which in layman’s terms means they are making all the Sony game titles available to be downloaded on the Android platform. This is major in that both companies need each other as they watch Apple starting to lap them in the mobile gaming platform. Android needs their apps to be viable and Sony needs to be in the game period or perish. Here is the Fierce Mobile Content article detailing the deal. GJ Ya’ll
With the holidays around the corner, I thought it was only fitting that we start featuring some of the hot games hitting the consoles for the buyer season. GoJu Nation, your boy Q is a man of many skills and a finger fighter aka gamer is one of them. First up, Assassin’s Creed: Brotherhood. Get familiar if you’re not, hands down this game is crack. Historical references for the history nuts out there, missions on missions, free running and lastly blood shed. Can it get any better? lol. Enjoy the review in full from G4TV. ~Qban … GoJu time!!
Aside from a teaser trailer presented at last year’s Spike VGAs, Warner Bros. and developer Rocksteady have been as stealth as Batman regarding details for the upcoming Batman: Arkham Asylum 2. They’ve been so quiet, in fact, that we don’t even know if Arkham Asylum 2 is the game’s actual title. But a new set of domain registrations from Warner Bros and caught by superannuation may shed light on the title and even some plot details.
