I didn’t forget you GoJu Nation. It been a busy week. But I’m here with da album charts and of course the obvious topic of conversation (this week) is the Chris Brown album coming in at #1 this week and with a sexy 270K number of units as well. Was it “Deuces”? Was it “No B.S”? I know “Look at me Now” has something to do with it. Now, I’m not sure if this means the moratorium of hate is over for Mr. Brown but he has grinded his way out of purgatory. This reminds me a lot of when R.Kelly has his issues and then he came with that Chocolate Factory album which had “Step in the Name of Love” on it. It seems that was the turning point to put him back on the music track and keep his personal life out of the limelight. And you know what? They both reside on the same label. I let GoJu Nation take it from there.

Ok, here we are GoJu Nation. The next phase in the growth of GothamJungle. We’re going audio. You now get to put a voice with the words you’re enjoying here on “The Industry”. And now the bar gets raised. Instead of just getting so-called “opinions” with no knowledge of who is ranting, you’re getting emotion, background info that you don’t get anywhere else and you also get to peek into the backgrounds of the blogger so you know they’re experienced and knowledgeable in their content areas. This is a nice step here GoJu Nation. Get comfortable and embrace. You WILL walk away better educated. Promise. So here discussing the current state of the music industry, here are Mive Content (former music industry executive), Charles E. Austin (Entertainment Attorney) & Q’ban (Partner, Grand Reve Music/WaterMusic/EMI). It’s a GothamJungle thing baby… !!!

The Justin Bieber machine is still chugging along as Def Jam is getting their “Lady Gaga” on with 2 album in the top 20. Basically re-releasing the current album with new mixes and maybe new material in an attempt to strike while the popularity iron is hot… 2 albums and over 2 million sold. Let’s see how long the Justin Bieber legs are.
This post will be short and simple. I like Ludacris as an artist and overall I think he is one of the best. The album is a good album. Some of the songs I had the pleasure to hear did not make the final cut, but all in all it is good. My hope is that the decision to pull some of the songs is to move them to a future release because trust me Luda has more heat.

This is what happens when the industry follows the trend instead of staying in their lane and building there own path. It’s painfully obvious that the “D.N.A.” album by Mario is majorly influenced by the radio hits of the past couple years. There are “Umbrella” type Rihanna records (He even enlists her on “Emergency Room”). And T.I. “Live Your Life”/Jay-Z “Run This Town” records (“Thinking About You”/”Ooh Baby”).
They’ve been in the game for over 10 years. They are no longer with J. Dupri & they’re known for their wedding anthems. Yes kids Jagged Edge is back. Atlanta’s favorite 4 man group is here with the the assistance of Trina & Gucci Mane (this should be exciting…) Fresh for da “who cares test” Jagged Edge with “Tip of My Tongue”… Is it hot??? Is it crap??? Let us know.
It’s the playoffs GoJu Nation and my
