Support is something that’s hard to quantify & we have been blessed to have a fan base that follows us consistently. Luckily, when we return we have qualitative content to deliver. We’ve been out the loop too long GoJu nation. There have been a lot of adjustments. We updated the website. Taking on a couple of new responsibilities. And have decided to step up our game as we grow into the year 2013. What does this mean for GoJu Nation? That answer will be arriving in the upcoming months GoJu nation. But for now we have a blog to get done and that means this week on da charts has returned. It’s been approximately 4 months since we posted and that’s way too long for GoJu nation to wait. With that being said, let’s see what the charts have to offer this week.
I would like GoJu Nation to be as renaissance as possible. Now we’re based on delivering quality so I wanted you to be aware of some business realities with the jobless rate dropping in 37 states last month. That might be an indication of things to come (right…). Now I’m far from a stock guru and I’m just starting to get my legs underneath me when it comes to navigating the investment waters. But I do know that you can’t live check to check forever and there needs to be an investment of some sorts in your life. Especially if you intend on living comfortably. So I’m not presenting any stock tips here. But I think it’s important that GoJu Nation is aware of how some companies are performing in specific industries. So today (being that we’re an online entity) we’ll give you some popular tech companies and how they’re performing. It’s important to note that as much as these are household names, brand identification isn’t everything. I’ll let you guys come to your own conclusions.

We’re starting to get some leaks from the rumor mill about what the iPad3 will offer GoJu Nation. This is what we are hearing:

With Eminem winning his latest battle with Universal Music over royalties, it got me digging into what an artist actually makes with these downloads. Now we know the playing field was skewed over the past 60 plus years. And with the digital age being ushered in we now know those previous paradigms are crumbling. But the industry itself hasn’t been going down without a fight. Like a classic boxing match they have been taking punches but refuse to fall. Now there used to be 6 major distributors. That’s down to 3 and with the impending sale of EMI that will leave two. So the stakes are crucial as this continues to play out. Now Chuck D has also files a multi-million dollar lawsuit looking for back digital royalties. And as expected the labels are balking. But here’s the reality. With digital downloads there aren’t any CD cases. No track listing on paper. Just a file download. So those manufacturing costs go out the window. So the royalty rate for digital downloads at minimum needs to be adjusted. But have the labels cared enough to address this? Of course not. That is why major artist have multi-million dollar lawsuits. To get the distributors attention. Common sense dictates that the previous label shenanigans will continue to fall. But we’ll see.
As I am always looking to share the hotness I find with the people, thanks to CNET “Tap That App” I can now share a P.I.M.P.’s dream apps… whether you are a baller or on a budget. Since I have to stay fresh, the “Hotel Tonite” app is the sh#t. Perfect for those quick get-a-ways or “get that chica into town, wine and dine, then toss her back on a plane” kind of moments.
It offers discounts boutique hotel, straight posh room stays… whaaat!!!! What you see is what you get, all listing are available.
“AirBnB” is a slightly more flexible option for the “You ain’t nothing but a high-class one-night stand.” type of movement. This app is a straight p2p rental kind of application, open for lodging listings … sort of like Craigslist but classed up. The company behind the app is top-notch and this app may be something you can check out if you don’t want to burn a hole in your bank account.
That’s it for my geeky tech movement, until my next music break… #SoSerious
