GoJuNation, I pose this question… Who smashed the R&B scene the hardest in 2009? Let’s debate… First up “Tank”, Mr. always consistent has done work in the past year with the likes of Chris Brown, Pleasure P, Keri Hilson, Day 26, LeToya Luckett, and Ginuwine to name a few. He is still in the game heavy, but I can’t say he has ruled the charts. But wait… if track record is the barometer then he is the dude.
As always, here at GJ your gonna find qualitative information that’s relevant to you. And we realize how valuable that is to our core consumer. With that being said, we have the tentative release dates for the more prominent artists for the rest of the year. Remember 4th quarter releases are vital to the survival of the record label. Knowing that you tend to see bigger names this time of the year. There will be additional information (Re: this 4th quarter concept) coming soon. We’ll add albums everyday. Click the album covers for additional info. Here’s October/November…. 1!

This is what happens when the industry follows the trend instead of staying in their lane and building there own path. It’s painfully obvious that the “D.N.A.” album by Mario is majorly influenced by the radio hits of the past couple years. There are “Umbrella” type Rihanna records (He even enlists her on “Emergency Room”). And T.I. “Live Your Life”/Jay-Z “Run This Town” records (“Thinking About You”/”Ooh Baby”).
Exclusives are the theme of today. Ist up Mario. The heat meter is slowly dropping on Mario. His highpoint was “Let Me Love You” 2 album ago (written by Ne-Yo). He had a lil reprieve with “How Can I Breathe” from his last album but it wasn’t the smash “Let Me Love You” was. So here we are at a crossroads. If this album is solid he treads water and keeps it moving. If not he’s officially in freefall (like a lot of the early decade crooners). So here we go. 1st Up “Get Out” feat Ludacris… From the upcoming album “D.N.A.” (working title)…
